James and I had a lovely dinner this weekend with some of his friends who had their first baby a few months ago. Her name is Elise and she is a charming, smiley baby! Since his friend went above and beyond helping us in our move, I decided to make Elise a little pair of baby booties.
Pattern: Simplicity 2278, size medium
Fabric: Stashbust! Quilting cottons from JoAnns
Time: Approx. 4 hours
Notes: Yay stashbusting! It took me awhile to find a pink fabric to use for the lining. These took awhile because, believe it or not there are quite a few layers underneath. Figuring out the sequence of those layers was a little arduous.
I did some swapping out because I had to use materials I had on hand. Instead of fusible fleece (whatever that is?!) I just flatlined with flannel. I also didn't use Jiffy Grip (also had never heard of this before) for the bottoms.
