Mary Hopkin's Gingham

While listening to Accuradio's "Hey Hey We'er the Sixties" channel, a Mary Hopkin song came up. Delightful!
I really love this oversize-gingham dress. But the boots? They look like space vixen boots!
Want a dress like this? Here are some Etsy options.
Not quite gingham, but I've got patchwork on the brain lately!

  1. She was "dressed up" for a part in her 1970 BBC TV show called "In the land of ..." The song she is singing here is "Allentown Jail" She is sat on a table in a saloon bar.

  2. I like Fluffy Pink Bunnies' dress but favourite has to be the sunny yellow from RedoRedux. I've just bought 10 meters of yellow gingham, now this gives me an idea!

  3. Amazing round-up of vintage gingham dresses! That orange gingham babydoll with the puff sleeves is to die for!!! Mary Hopkin is so lovely. A bit of trivia - Her ex-husband, Tony Visconti, is a famous record producer/engineer and she also sang back-up for many of the artists he produced during the 1970s including David Bowie and Sparks!
