Me For Good-For-Me Beauty Products

As promised, I finally have reviewed the non-toxic cosmetics I ordered from Etsy.
1.  Lavender All-Natural Deodorant by Elegant Rose Boutique
I love love love this stuff! However, it is important to remember that it is NOT an antiperspirant. You sweat as you naturally should and it de-odorizes the sweat. Like my regular deodorant, I do have to apply it 2-3 times a day but that's just because I've got my mother's sweat glands. This stuff lets it evaporate throughout the day rather than build up and then flood halfway through the day. Its one downfall is that it leaves a shiny spot on woven fabrics, so don't wear it with your nice vintage blouses.
Remember, most women didn't deodorant until the mid-50s.
As Peggy said, "Women don't wear deodorant. We have perfume!"

2. Lavender Dream Soap by Elegant Rose Boutique
I actually got this as a free sample from my deodorant purchase (she gives a little free gift with all purchases!)  and it is absolutely scrummy. It smells lovely and has been great on my usually oily skin. I especially like the rough texture.

3. Perseverance, Commitment and Loyalty Blush by Nassim Naturals
As my sister learned, a little goes a LONG way with mineral makeup! She got the loyalty blush (bottom) which well suits her darker olive complexion while I got the other two for my golden-pink complexion. Perseverance (upper left) is too light and would probably best suit a girl with that typical porcelain-Irish type complexion. Commitment (upper right) was surprisingly good looking for all its Barbie-pink brightness. We got the sample size and will probably get at least 7 uses out of each packet.

4. Aube Eyeshadow by Nassim Naturals
I actually think this was my favorite of all the purchases. I have a hard time finding eyeshadow that doesn't immediately give me the hooker-look. This color is not as dark as shown here but when applied in the crevice of my eye and highlighted with a lighter pink it looks delightful.
Be beautiful and be healthy!
